   The Nobeoka Guide and Volunteer Association operates under the motto "Learn while having fun, and guide while having fun," offering guided tours of Nobeoka's three mountains (Shiroyama/Nobeoka Castle Ruins, Atagoyama, and Imayama), the Satsuma Rebellion, and the mythology of Nobeoka.

 We will be conducting a guided tour of historical sites around Shiroyama (Nobeoka Castle), titled "Continued: A Stroll Through the Historic Sites of Shiroyama, Japan's Top 100 Castles (Nobeoka Castle)," on the dates listed below. Please feel free to join us.

This year's Golden Week in Nobeoka City is packed with a variety of events to enjoy. Many different events will be held throughout the period, offering something for everyone, from children to adults.

The festival also features a variety of events, including a "Flower Festa" adorned with colorful blossoms, a "Book Recycle" where you can find hidden gems, and gourmet events such as the "Local Seafood Rice Bowl Battle" and the "Nippo Coast Rock Oyster Festival" where you can enjoy fresh local seafood.

Furthermore, the "Michi-no-Eki Kitagawa Hayuma GW Festival" and the "Sumie Family Festival" will host events that the whole family can enjoy. In the cultural and artistic fields, there will be the "Chagall Exhibition" and "Enjoy the Museum by the Naito Memorial Museum," and the highly anticipated "Golden Games" sporting event will also be held, making for a truly packed and exciting experience.

From Thursday, April 23rd to Wednesday, May 6th, 2026 (a public holiday), the "Flower Festa 2026 in Nobeoka" will be held at Nobeoka Botanical Garden.

The city of Nobeoka is bustling with activity, watched over by Japan's largest statue of Kobo Daishi. This event has become a springtime tradition.

The "Odaishi-san" festival, a beloved spring tradition in Nobeoka, will be held again this year.
This festival is filled with the prayers of the historical Kobo Daishi and the feelings of the local people. During the festival, you can enjoy events unique to "Odaishi-san," such as hospitality and craftwork.
The climax of the Odaishi Festival is a parade through the city, with various groups, including a daimyo procession, lining the streets in elaborate costumes.

If you are coming by car, please use the "Furukawa Riverbed Free Parking Lot (capacity of approximately 400 cars)".
Please use the free shuttle bus from the parking lot to the Nobeoka Station West Exit express bus stop.

Alternatively, a shuttle taxi (200 yen per person) is a convenient way to get to Imayama Daishi from the east entrance of the temple.

【Overview】

This is a campaign in which Saiki City, Nobeoka City, and Hyuga City are working together to promote the Nichiho Coast area by offering dishes made with rock oysters from the Nichiho Coast.

Customers who have enjoyed a meal will receive an entry form stamped with a store stamp, and they will be asked to report the number of rock oysters they have eaten each month (one meal for a dish, or by the number of oysters for a single item).

[Participation rules]

1. Businesses that provide dishes using safe, secure, delicious, and satisfying rock oysters from the Nichiho Coast.

*For raw serving, only rock oysters that meet the standards for raw consumption will be used.

2. To comply with laws and regulations.

3. Businesses that can operate in conjunction with the announcement period for the Nichiho Coast Rock Oyster Campaign.

4. To provide customers with information not only about the characteristics of the rock oysters from the Nichinan Coast, but also about the region's tourism resources.

5. To always treat tourists who visit participating stores with a high level of awareness so that they become repeat customers.

6. Be a member of the respective tourism association.

7. Other businesses that the Chairman of the Executive Committee recognizes as participating stores.

1. A participation fee of 10,000 yen is required. (This covers the cost of creating printed materials. It will be collected at a later date.)

⁡Handmade craftspeople and general goods shops from within and outside the prefecture will gather together

This will be an event where artworks and items will be exhibited and sold!
