Miyazaki Hideji Beer Co., Ltd.
Gold medal winning ability in global contests
The brewery is located at the foot of Mt. Gyokushi, an 831-meter mountain upstream of the Gokase River system, and in the mountains, where Gyokushi Falls, one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls, flows, surrounded by abundant nature. Using high-quality natural water for brewing, the brewery brews high-quality beer and happoshu (low-malt beer) made with Miyazaki agricultural products, and is gaining popularity both in Japan and overseas. It is characterized by its deep flavor and crispness, thanks to its "fully self-cultured yeast brewing," which is rare even in Japan. In recent years, the brewery has also been working on cultivating domestic barley.
He has received numerous awards, including gold medals at international competitions.
This unpasteurized live beer is made from 100% malt, has no additives, and is made with natural mineral water. It has received high praise, winning double gold medals at two major domestic craft beer competitions, as well as a gold medal at an international competition.
In recent years, with a focus on "local flavors," the brewery has released flavored beers using ingredients from Miyazaki Prefecture with the aim of contributing to the local community. Miyazaki Kumquat Lager won a gold medal in the flavor category at the Asia Beer Cup 2015, while Ginger Honey Ale won a silver medal, and the brewery is gaining recognition worldwide.
The brewery only sells bottled beer, but you can also enjoy draft beer at their directly managed stores in Nobeoka city, such as "Hideji Brewery" and "Nobeoka Sanzo/Prefectural Sake Bar HIMUKA."
