LOCAL BAMBOO Co., Ltd. is a company that creates sustainable businesses in rural areas. When they returned to their hometown at the age of 29, they were confronted with the problems of bamboo damage and abandoned bamboo forests in the mountains where their parents live. This prompted them to embark on the challenge of utilizing bamboo as a local resource. By commercializing bamboo, they aim to solve environmental problems and revitalize the local area.
A brand of domestically produced bamboo shoots made from abandoned bamboo forests. Nobeoka Menma is 100% domestically produced bamboo shoots made from Moso bamboo, which grows in Nobeoka. It was created to solve the problem of abandoned bamboo forests in Nobeoka City.
Mimitsu Town, Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, is home to abundant nature and beautiful Edo-period townscapes. Located in a traditional buildings preservation district, this 150-year-old townhouse, which was once used as an aramonoya (general store), has been renovated into a guesthouse where you can experience the history of Mimitsu, while preserving the interior as much as possible. The entire building is rented out, allowing you to have the spacious 180m² space all to yourself in luxury.
