Imayama Toka Ebisu Festival
Imayama Toka Ebisu, one of the three major Ebisu festivals in Kyushu.
Toka Ebisu is a festival where people pray for business prosperity and safe voyages, and it is held annually on February 10th and 11th at Imayama Ebisu Shrine.
The Toka Ebisu festival at Imayama Ebisu Shrine is known as one of the "Three Great Ebisu Festivals of Kyushu," alongside those in Hakata and Wakamatsu.
During the festival, "Fukuzasa," auspicious bamboo branches believed to bring good fortune, are sold, and a "Shonosai" ceremony is held where old Fukuzasa are burned.
