This festival is held every year for two days on a moonlit night in November.
This is the largest festival in Shimanoura, and with stalls and traditional excitement, it attracts many tourists from far and wide.
Events include fighting mikoshi, kagura, and fishing boat parades.
This festival was selected as one of the "100 Island Treasures" by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as "an island landscape that we want to pass on to the next generation."
