Sentoku Brewery

The bounty of the Gokase River, boasting the cleanest water in Japan. The one and only sake that Miyazaki is proud of.

Sentoku Brewery is located near the Ose River, a downstream tributary of the Gokase River system, which boasts the highest water quality ranking in Japan. It is the only sake-only brewery in Miyazaki Prefecture, known as the "Kingdom of Shochu." Sentoku Brewery is committed to preserving traditional manual processes as much as possible, from rice washing to shipping. Even in processes where machinery must be used, they thoroughly inspect everything visually and strive to always be aware of the finer details of the situation. In addition, you can sample and purchase sake at the "Hanakagura-kan" adjacent to the brewery.

Kokugikan Main Store

Nobeoka's most established restaurant

Established 63 years ago, Ajidokoro Kokugikan is Nobeoka's premier long-established restaurant. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by the lively sound of drums. We proudly serve dishes that make the most of the seasonal bounty of the mountains and sea caught locally. From grilled mackerel sushi made with fresh fish from the Hyuga Sea, including Himuka mackerel, to deep-fried and sashimi of mehikari fish, and mackerel ochazuke (rice with tea), and seasonal delicacies such as rock oysters, spiny lobster, and sweetfish, there's something for everyone who visits this area to enjoy.

We recommend Nobeoka's original chicken nanban, lettuce wraps, and local sake and craft beer made with the pure water nurtured by the region's abundant nature. Our dishes, which allow you to fully experience the flavors of Nobeoka, are popular with both locals and tourists. We have counter seats perfect for solo diners, as well as banquet halls, and our staff looks forward to welcoming you.
